Talking with Jennifer for the first time when she critiqued my manuscript was like talking with a good friend who knows just what to say and just what you need. She is someone you can trust. Jennifer cheered the sections that soared and zeroed in on places where the story got lost in the writing. Perhaps more importantly, she was able to clearly explain the logic behind her reactions and suggest solutions for breathing new life into my work. Jennifer’s critical judgments were informed by an intimate knowledge of the practical realities of the marketplace, publishers, readers, editors, and agents — and they were always on target.
